We take pride in publishing a bug-free app but as with all projects, once in a while things fall below the radar. If you find any issue with the WesternU Mobile app, please notify us right away! If you have a Western ID, you can also report bugs and issues via the WTS Service desk.
The app isn’t showing my classes or exam schedule. What should I do?
WesternU Mobile uses data from Western's central exam management system to pull information for classes and exam schedules. Currently, some programs do not use this system to manage their exams, especially for non-final exams. The only exams you will be able to see through the mobile app are those that you can see through Student Center.
If you're unable to see your courses or exams in WesternU Mobile, try logging in to student.uwo.ca to see if they've visible there. If your courses and/or exams don't appear there, they won't show up in the app either.
Please login with your Western ID at Student Center to check if your exams appear there. If you see exams there that you don't see on the mobile app please let us know by submitting a Jira ticket.
I found an error in the app. How can I tell you about it?
Sending error reports is encouraged! If you find something wrong with WesternU Mobile, you can submit a Jira ticket.
I have a great idea for a new WesternU Mobile feature! Who should I send my feature request to?
New feature requests can be suggested by submitting a Jira ticket.
Why don’t you support my mobile device or platform?
Western has conducted surveys with the campus community’s app-using audience to ensure WesternU Mobile is deployed on the platforms most people use. This helps us take advantage of the latest technology and ensures that the app can be updated frequently and easily.
How long has Western’s app been available?
Western’s app (originally named iWestern) was launched in October of 2010 and was one of the first education apps released among Canadian universities. You can read more about its launch on Western News.
Who developed WesternU Mobile?
WesternU Mobile was co-developed by an internal team at Western University and DivergentSoft, a 3rd party, London-based developer made up of Western graduates.

My name and contact information shows up in the app's search function. I don't remember giving you permission to share that info. Can I be removed from the results?
Those who opted out will not show up in directory search. You can remove yourself from the app’s search tool. Simply visit Western’s Update Request for Personal Data page and fill in the form.
Please note: removing yourself from this list also removes you from the directory search on westernu.ca.
